The eye is going to go right over Bermuda, not east of it. Don't follow the wobbles and rely more on the radar than the satellite and you'll see it.

This isn't the worst. There's a heavy core band on radar about 20 miles south that's on its way.

It looks like strong tropical storm conditions on the webcam, MAYBE at times just popping into Category 1 territory.

Conditions should start deteriorating in the next few minutes over Bermuda.

I'd estimate Port Bermuda cam is sustained 80mph right now. A worthy tempest and the sea turning to hell and fury...

The Port Bermuda webcam has been nothing short of amazing while watching Gonzalo approach. I have been watching all afternoon, and like many of you, I am absolutely amazed that the webcam feed is still functioning currently. Amazing live video feed for sure!

I wouldn't argue it. They are in the solid core now.

Well i'll tell you what, the weather is terrible now. This is def sustained winds of at least 90mph if not more. Granted that is my unscientific estimate. Power is out to nearly 3/4 of the island and one out of two cell phone networks here is down! Thankfully the handy work blackberry is still going strong!

Definitely blasting winds at the cam now. The fog spray is shooting at the camera now...

BWS - Bermuda Weather Service

Hurricane force easterly winds are now gusting to 100knots/115mph across the most exposed parts of the Island as the northern eyewall moves north-northeast across the area. Satellite data indicates that seas outside the reef are 30 feet and still building.

Thanks for the report JahJa. It seems you are bunkered in a safe place and praying for this very thing for all on Bermuda right now. Thanks to the Port Bermuda webcam, we have been able to watch Gonzalo's direct impact. I am just absolutely amazed the webcam is still functioning through this fury of Gonzalo.

That's insane on that webcam. Has to be 90 - 100 mph sustained. The sound is awesome.
