Are there any webcam/local news/radio links up yet?
If so, I didn't see them and I apologize.

Thank you...

Thanks for the links...

I guess what I'm referring to is normally when there is a storm heading to a certain location, there's usually a *Sticky* asking to post local observations, local news, etc.

We only have 2 Hawaii posters, so that IMO isn't worth it.

Neither is a separate thread for advisories/models worth it.

Looks like they're still anticipating landfall as an H1 so far.

Seems like Mother Nature is not happy with Hawaii right now for some reason.

The current conditions where the quake happened is 82 partly cloudy and a surface pressure of 1013mb. To somehow imply that this quake which happened in a place that has had 83 quakes in the last couple weeks is somehow related to an hurricane that is hundreds of miles away is totally absurd.

Need some help here...

Anybody know when the last time the same state has been in two seperate cone of uncertainties at the same time? Was researching that today and can't come up with much. I emailed a contact of mine at the NHC but haven't heard back yet. Thanks in advance.

maybe Bonnie and Charley in 2004? I believe there at one point was a continuous hurricane warning to cover both storms (Bonnie's warning ended where Charley's began)

I know they have a lot of eaqrthquakes, but IIRC the last two Flossie had earthquakes been preceded by them when they nearly hit the same

I would think 'quakes out there are related to the Volcanoes and happen without regard to weather of any kind.

Chances are I am taking a less than educated guess that sounds good because 10 years ago I stole Mike Watkins book 'The Hurricane and its Impact'. The background pressure is like 1033mb, so we can expect pressure mismatches as the storm approaches Hawaii. 1000 could still be a hurricane.

pressure continues to rise... likely around 990mb now

still... sfmr has 60 kt winds in the NWQ, and the peak winds have been in the NEQ. so this likely does remain a hurricane
