6:38 PM CT: Denton County Sheriff has confirmed a #tornado touch down in Krum, TX.
/\
I'm assuming that means the storm that went through Denton did produce a tornado touchdown in Krum.

Wow, that was an intense 15-30 minutes. I think Denton dodged a major bullet.
That was a MAJOR league looking hook echo with strong rotation.
Maybe a touchdown in Krum and a definite funnel cloud (one Twitter pic showed a definite rope funnel NE of Denton).
But wow, could have been so much worse.

Kudos to the NWS. I didn't want to believe the dry line would set up further west and cap would break. It did and I was wrong, now lets conglomerate this into an MCS and end the severe threat to the heavy rain threat!

Re: Texas Spring-2014
Looks like the storms are beginning to fill in to the west of DFW and moving east. I hope SA gets some rain tonight but I think they will be too far south.

There's some stuff to the NW of SA with an outflow coming out of them. Maybe something will fire along it and heads for Austin/San Antonio in a line?

Well, the cap broke in some areas, not in others. Strong storm entered Tarrant country as a sever storm, disappeared as it approached Dallas county. Another strong storm entering Tarrant now, we'll see if it gets to the east side of the metroplex.

This storm passed over us and while there wasn't a tornado, we had some insane winds for a while. Scared me. We sheltered in our safe room for a little bit. Hope everyone is staying safe.

I know it's crazy, but I would have taken three severe hailstorms like Denton got today to be under a flash flood warning like Denton is right now. It's really sad to be so drought ravaged that you would even consider such.
