Double Zombies?

#1 Postby WeatherGuesser » Thu Sep 19, 2013 6:54 pm

We've seen a few storms all but die and then come back and die again.

Got me curious ..... have any ever died and come back twice?

Helene 2000 might count. It formed east of the Lesser Antilles, and opened up into a tropical wave. After moving across the Caribbean, it became a tropical storm and struck Florida. The NHC issued its final advisory, saying it became extratropical. In post-analysis, they found that Helene once again became a tropical storm once it reached the western Atlantic.

If that doesn't, then I got a better one. Tropical Depression 9 formed in the southwest Caribbean, had a final advisory, and became Tropical Storm Juliette in the eastern Pacific. After peaking and striking the Baja California Peninsula, the NHC issued another final advisory, only for them to reissue advisories on Tropical Depression Juliette in the extreme northern Gulf of California (and one last final advisory).
