POINT OF INTEREST....

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Wed Sep 10, 2003 2:04 pm

Yes I said point of interest, not person of interest lol

But on a more serious note, I just peaked at my "tracking the eye" software" and I traced the path with 1 of my fingers and if she continues going West or even SLIGHTLY west/northwest,

South or Central Florida will be in ISABELS' BULLS EYE... It's almost like we are the victim and she is the shotgun... Scary thing I just realized that a minute ago...

I hope you are wrong. I really do, cause I am in no position to be dealing with the first major hurricane here in South Florida since the catastrophic Andrew.

Steve, Normally I would correct your spelling lol.. But I won't do it this time..

You're 20 miles North of Sebastian though huh.. I of course am just a few minutes outside Orlando.. I would probably also be along the 28 latitude line..

I wonder if Brevard County is paying attention..

Hi Cindy, I'm right smack dab in the center of the state lol.. Far enough from the storm surge but not far enough from the rains, and especially winds and tornadoes this monster would bring..

Hi Cindy. I lived in Titusville for several years, too. When you start seeing NASA rolling the shuttle in, it's time to get worried!

In the middle

Well they way things are looking at the moment, if the girl decides to pay us a visit I think most of the state would be affected. My aunt lives in Taveres I talked to her this morning and asked her what she would do (IF) a hurricane blew through with winds of a 100 mp or more and she said nothing just board the windows and the sad part is she lives in a mobile home. Jans- that's true.. that's always the signal for people on the Space Coast.. when they roll the shuttle in.. hit the worry/panic button

Cindy- In a mobile home, I believe they would force her to leave... Please forgive me if I'm incorrect on that account.. but I believe they would..

I know here they issue mandatory evacs for low lying areas and mobile homes. The Red Cross just issued a new revised shelter list. All shelters have been relocated North if interstate 10. IMO, that is an excellent idea. During Georges, the roof was ripped off a middle school being used for shelter and the people had to run to another part of the building. They were in the gym which adjoins the main school. So, that means they had to go out in the storm on a covered walkway.
