Maximum winds 150 knots, gusting to 180 knots. Minimum central pressure 885 millbars, 3 millibars lower than the lowest pressure measured by Hurricane Gilbert!!! Now that's wicked!!!

Just to be fair, WPAC storms run about 20mb lower then Atlantic ones (See Dvorak chart) .. making Maemi equal to Mitch/Camille at ~905mb...

Officially the lowest pressure in WPAC was 870mb (considering 888 is the lowest in the Atlantic, very good measurement), but who knows.

Wow, I was motivated to post... :P
