Since I was so wrong....

#1 Postby rob8303 » Tue Sep 09, 2003 7:58 pm

Since I was so wrong regarding this west track not occuring, I want to be the first to apologize and wish [/i]everyone in Isabel's path, Good luck. You will be in my my thoughts and my heart. What awaits us may, I hope not, MAY test us like we never have been tested before. I'm sure your canadian neighbours will be at the ready to help you recover as we have so many times before May this storm not be the monster it looks like it night.
STAY SAFE: THOSE OF YOU WHO END UP IN ISABEL'S PATH. EVACUATE OR GO TO A SHELTER. DON'T STAY IN YOUR HOMES. YOU'LL DIE. PLEASE LET'S DO ALL WE CAN TOO AVOID A CATASTROPHE. BUILDINGS CAN BE REPLACED, LIVES CAN NOT.
This is absolutely devastating and I have tears in my eyes as I write this. And this happening just days after the 9/11 anniversary is not fair. Why couldn't it just turn out to sea????

your kind words. Hopefully, this will not be the monsterous disaster that it appears to be right now. Many things can happen in the next week. Let's all hope Isabel decides she likes the open waters!

(((((((((((Rob))))))))))), I believe the biggest point of your post earlier was that she would be a fish. She hasn't made landfall yet and there's still room for a turn...if you believe it will happen. :)

Don't be so hard on yourself, buddy. We're all wrong sometimes. You're not completely wrong yet. But even if she does become a disaster, it's not your fault. You're not God. These things do happen for a reason and we don't always know what the reason is.

True, it is a bummer for this to be happening at the same time as the anniversary of 9/11. But there are only 365 days in a year. Stuff happens on good days and bad. My dad died the day before Thanksgiving, my mom died the day before Valentine's Day, and my great-grandmother died on Christmas Eve (different years, of course). I joke that I'll probably die on the day before St. Paddy's Day, which would suck cuz it's also 5 days before my b-day.

I hate that you're crying about this. Not that guys can't cry. But seriously, don't tear yourself up over this. Keep your chin up. Your input is valuable here...and so is your support.

(By the way, for those who don't know, in most chat circles, putting a name within parentheses ((( ))) is a cyber hug. :)

Why 11? You might need a few more to make the crow edible. ;)

And Rob... don't feel bad. We all have made mistakes, except for those of us who are perfect. ;) J/k!

I guess you youngsters don't remember Kentucky Fried Chicken ads from the old days. Then again, maybe KFC (as it's now known) was ONLY in KY in the old days. :)

Anyway, the ads bragged that they used the "Colonel's secret recipe with 11 herbs and spices." I'll throw in some Cajun spice for good measure.
