Believe it or not, I never used a PC until I was 33 years old...in March 1995 when visiting my sister and her husband in Mississippi. Even though I utilized a PC eight hours a day working at EDS (1995-96), I didn't go online at home until purchasing a Webtv unit in May 2000.

We had our first PC in 2000; a 1999 CyberMax, 6 Gb hard drive for "cheaps". I went to that "other" wx site in 2001 as a poster, although I'd been in there daily for weather info months before, and I was one of the last in their chat room before they ditched it.

Now, we got a DELL, and although I'm no technician with this cybertoy, I get on OK with it...at least, I do all the "maintenance'" (cleanouts, virus scans and defragging, and just got Ad-Aware a couple months ago), since no one else will do the "dirty" deeds...

I was actually installing computers and networking cables way before I put my hand on a mouse. Finally in 1999, I bought the best Gateway had to offer at the time. But now its a fossil....still nice though.Windows 98, Pent 3...12.6GB, 21 inch monitor and recently installed a CD burner. I have a scanner, two printers, 100 watt surround sound with a sub, joystick, webcam, wireless mouse, and DSL. Tons of games and educational software that tend to slow it down. One day I may get a new system and let the kids have this one.
