I'd want one, but only if it came with a SAM battery and twin .50 machine guns under the retractable turn blinkers.

For me, the simpler the better. No power locks, no power windows, no power nothing, except to go! We have electrical issues with one of our cars and it's a nightmare to get it fixed. All those dang wires and it's about imposible to diagnose. Ka-ching Ka-ching.

I don't care if I ever get another new car. I will only buy used cars from now on.

Now I do have my eyes on a new BMW Motorcycle once the Suzuki is paid off.

I agree "j" - my new SUV payment is the same as my housepayment - I call it my housenote on wheels.

I will buy used from now on because it just makes more sense.

"J" you sound like my hubby - he wants a custom motorcycle really bad - I told him when he turns 30 he can consider it then - he's 28 right now.

I found one used for $15,000 - wish I had the money I would of bought it for him. Here's to our wishlists.

Her must want a Harley :)

I couldn't afford one myself. The Bandit brand new was under 7K. The BMW I'd like would run at right around 10, and if I add anti lock brakes I'm looking at 13 maybe.

Ahhhh..dreamers we are :)

Way back when (70's), I was looking for a motorcycle for myself; at the dealership, I specified one that could accommodate a 6'1" frame with 36" legs, which dropped my options considerably.

I had three choices; a Honda GoldWing (first time it was on the market), a Harley-Davidson "Electra-Glide" (police-"trick"), and a BMW.

I asked to speak to one of the dealer's mechanics, and here's what he said..."You can mess around with chain-drive Hondas, Kawasakis, Suzooks, even Harleys; but when you get tired of the hassle and maintenance, get the BMW. That drive shaft mechanism is the best selling point...less money on upkeep, tight tolerances, and for a man your size, it will be the only one that you can mount, "stock", and feel comfortable riding".

Good advice.

Here is my dream bike. $13,690 with ABS brakes. No customization needed! :) R1100 S This is a rich man's version of my Bandit. Sport Touring, smooth as silk, oodles of torque...and yes SS ...its shaft driven!
Mine would be blue

I am also going to buy used from now on. I have one of those house on wheels too. My house is paid for so the SUV is my house payment. A car is one of the worst investments.

Those car dealers laugh at all us new car buyers as soon as we drive off the lot with them. The depreciation on them IS funny. lol.

Bill....btw..you and me..same height and leg length. The Japs don't build their bikes to fit tall Americans, although they should! Anyway..I sufffer from knee pain on long rides, and the bike of my dreams won't solve that. I'd have to go to a Cruiser like a Gold Wing, to fit me properly. But what fun would that be? :)

No cycles for me.....I would like a new Beatle Bug though. Or a Mini. If I win the lotto......start buying those lotto tix folks!!! We once tore up pieces of paper, 1-45 or whatever the cutoff is, and our daughters would each choose 3. They were pretty lucky. They matched at least 2 numbers and sometimes 3. If I do auto lotto, I rarely have one number match. I need to reactivate the family draw.....LOL. My kids did have the touch back then.

Finally bought my first Harley last year, and next year I am going to upgrade to more of a cruising Harley, the one I have now is more of an around town cruiser.

Then the little lady can ride with me more, she will be more comfortable. Since owning the Harley, I will never own another brand. I have had some sort of bike ever since I was 12. Even had a goldwing, didn't care for it much. My second favorite for comfort was a Honda CB900 Custom

I take that back, I would own another kind.....I would love to design and build a custom bike. Someday I will...but not for awhile. I suppose when the kids get out of school.
