Good news for a few days at least!

#1 Postby vbhoutex » Wed Sep 03, 2003 12:03 am

I will be working for at least a few days starting in the morning!!! Yes and engineer friend called me today and said he needed help getting his project out the door and wondered if I could help. Guess how I answered him??? It, at least at this time, is only temporary for no more than a week I think, but I relish getting back in the "work force" even if it is only for a short time.

I hope everyone is doing well!! I've been good-for a duck!!  It's been kinda soggy here in case you hadn't heard. We have had 4.1" of rain in the last 3 days, which we desperately needed.

Once the hurricane season settles down a bit-not likely soon-I will return to stake out a place by the old pot belly.

Later ALL!!!

Great news Brother! Hopefully when they see your work, they will offer you a full time position, "you never know!" Our Father has a plan for you and this JUST MIGHT be it! Keep the faith and YES.......it's ALMOST time to fire up the Pot Belly......looking at the AFD this morning, the first frost is just a day, maybe 2 away!!!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes and thoughts. The man I am working for does not hire full time staff, only contract workers. He has indicated to me that I am now on his list of people to call when he needs the help. So I guess I have a "permanent" temporary positon.???? It is definitely a step in the right direction!!

That Is good news David. Hopefully this will be a foot-in-the-door. As a "consultant" with your experience, you should command about $50 and hour, right?
