4-8" in DFW
1-3" in San Antonio
1-8" (yes) from a near record early Dec storm for Houston
3-6" West Texas Midland-San Angelo
And finally *drumroll": 6-12" in a whiteout blizzard on Christmas Eve for Austin!!...Oh wait wrong "A" city, Amarillo!~
2-4 in Scenic SW Austin

im from the rio grande valley and down here we dont need a another la nina im hoping for el nino the 2009-2010 el nino was cold and rainy all winter

If we have a El Nino by this winter, it could a cold one. Somewhere in the line of 1972-1973, 1976-1977, or 2009-2010. If that is the case, we could see sleet, ice, and snow on top of multiple freezes.

So you want a winter that allows disease carrying mosquitoes to be a bigger problem. I think we had enough warm winter. Time to bring in the cold winter.
