This sounds rather ominous:

@wunderground: "11:50 PM CT: Oaklawn south of Wichita declared disaster area due to damage."

From the Wichita newspaper live reporting:

Twitter
JayPraterCBM:
Multiple damage reports still coming in from Oaklawn, south of Wichita, fuselage found in a field near McConnell.

Now wouldn't that be something.

Texas Snowman wrote:Oh my goodness....STP is now 17 in Oklahoma?!?

-----

@ScottDimmich: "Significant Tornado Parameter is 17 in OK. Tornado threat ramping back up! #okwx #kswx 12am ET SIGTOR/radar plot."

*cut*

That is unreal, just completely bonkers. I can't wait to see how the squall line reacts, I wonder if its enough to break up some segments into "pearls" along a string. Once that happens better tornado chances IMO. If there is a night that can do it its this one.

Texas Snowman wrote:Wow...forget Friday the 13th.

April 14th has quite a notorious history - including today's tornado outbreak:

From DanSatterfield: @wildweatherdan: "‎100 years ago at this moment the Titanic Sank...and 147 years ago at this moment Abraham Lincoln was being carried across E street from Ford's theatre."

I was just thinking that eariler, Titanic sank 100 years ago basically right now. Crazy.

I've been hearing that some chasers got some night-time footage near Wichita KS and they were IN the tornado and even got lifted some. This was caught on camera. They are very excited and hopefully a tornado video is posted soon. I can't wait to see this one :) .

Looks like a small hook appearing near Lincoln KS to the south. Should go TOR warned soon.

‏@reedtimmerTVN: "Large tornado on the ground 8 miles east of Cassody, KS. Watching it now."

Not far now from Emporia, KS.

Down the line, the Topeka/Lawrence/Ottawa areas could be threatened.

And then KC.

Preliminary reports have increased to 118 Tornadoes. Earlier in the thread, there were discussions about the outbreak not meeting expectations, but I think it has been what it was forecast.

Yeah, I saw that a short while ago. With those significantly high STP's in western Oklahoma, this thing still has a ways to go perhaps.
