Should help Lake Travis too Porta. I cant find the monitoring station for it. Isn't it over 40' low?

Good point. Yep, Travis is 42 feet below its historic December level. Should definitely help. Wouldn't it be great to have these systems every 4-5 days all winter long? Oh wait ... that's a El Nino pattern. Silly me! :P

Well, this one didn't pan out. But, technically winter hasn't even started, yet! Heck, we just now entered December.

We still got a good two and half months.

I dont belive all hope is lost, we have decatur reporting 37f and a dew point of 34 and a nw wind of 7mph obviously cold air is advecting. It really just depends how cold we get. Watch your temps and dew points closely wet bulb deff could have an effect.

I still don't think all hope is lost. You know how quickly things can change here in north Texas and southern Oklahoma.

Decatur could certainly see some flakes fly. However in the DFW metro area it looks unlikely.

Well we can always hope, i really dont see us only moving a few degrees downward come night fall and early morning. Not when we have 30s in our north and north west counties currently with a northwest wind youd expect more lowering of temps than currently forecast.

Right now it appears to bring the temps down a little bit quicker, at 15hrs, than the 12Z. Anybody else seeing this?

It wants to end the precip pretty quickly..

However, it does appear to have more moisture moving in around hours 30-33, albeit light.

It is showing the last bit of energy coming through with a tad bit more of moisture. Flurries, possibly. The 12z NAM kind of showed the same thing as this run, just this one has a little more moisture.

We'll see if any of the models pick up on any added moisture with the last wave. Nothing significant, but could squeeze a few flurries out.

Very very light precip.

That's what it's showing, with very cold temps, especially cold at hr 42.

I'm ready to see what the 18Z GFS has to show with this last piece of energy moving through!
