1. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH A SMALL AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE LOCATED OVER THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS HAVE DIMINISHED.
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS LOW IS NOT EXPECTED...AND THE SYSTEM HAS A LOW
CHANCE...NEAR 0 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT CONTINUES WESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH.

Who thinks this could be another Jose and go from 0% to a tropical storm? I don't really, since there has been very little new convection today.

Looks like it. Just a short-term flare up of storms this morning. Shear has torn it apart (again).

Convection could blow up again tonight though as it did the last couple of nights, the circulation still looks very well defined.

It's extremely defined, though I doubt it'll survive its trip to near over Puerto Rico. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/flt/t2/flash-vis.html

Nope, still a defined low level circulation, but no convection. I think this is our final goodbye to 99L.

Here it comes to pass over my house. I can report that a strong band moved thru San Juan 30 minutes ago from the time of this post with a heavy downpour with thunder and gusts around 30mph.

Late season, NW Carib, not a good combination and a pretty good chance to defy the prior pattern of the season.

Is this our 20% blob currently over the Bahamas?

I am not a meteorologist, and any posts made by me are not official forecasts or to be interpreted as being intelligent. These posts are just my opinions and are probably silly opinions.
