You rock, Ceye!! I guess the reason I couldn't find it was because I was searching for MY reply. But silly me...I didn't reply to this one. Not sure why.

Well, Ticka sure nailed it with her prediction about Claudette. Now I just hope she and JCT are way off about Isabel.

names

#42 Postby zoeyann » Fri Aug 22, 2003 11:27 am

8-) I think Grace or Kate would be the ones to watch. The names are so sweet like Besty and Camille. BUT the one name that gives me shivers is Juan. The last Juan to hit south Louisiana was a psycotic rollercoaster ride that completely flood our coast. Not bad for a wimpy looking storm. :o

PS: We were told by a local met to go to bed and have a good night sleep it was nothing to worry about.

Everybody's predictions bit it (mostly).

>>I would have like the name Isidore for a hurricane if it was referring to a woman's name...but Isidore can also be a man's name too, which I found out last year...

While I'm sure I knew it last year, I'll be damned if I don't feel like Izzy and Lili were twins. And they were chicks. And they both did me for a good time an a sixpack each. Mmmm. Delicious hurricanes.

I'm still going with Kate.

Remember, Grace in 1991 was associated with the "Perfect Storm" -- and obviously wasn't retired.....

You're right Tom. But I think I'll always associate that name with that storm. :)

Thanks wxman, Luis and Hurrilurker. 8-) Although I would say that Fabian is still the most dangerous to this point, as Isabel has not yet made landfall anywhere and Fabian did a number on Bermuda. But Isabel certainly has the potential to be the most dangerous! :o

Now if only my crystal ball worked this well for picking lottery numbers...

I hope that Isabel is not a dangerous cane but it looks like someone down the road will see this system.

Hey 777 why did you said Isabel as the big one any astronomy forecast or it was only a guess from you as that name Isabel not sounds ferocious.

Luis - I picked Isabel for 2 reasons:

1) Nobody else picked Isabel
2) I only predicted 10 named storms, so I could not go beyond Juan. And rarely is the last named storm of a season the most dangerous one.

So really I should thank everyone else for NOT selecting Isabel. 8-)

I just so much could of chose Isabel, rather than Grace or Fabian.

I am not sure we would all (as far as I know I wouldn't of) not gone beyond the number of named storms I guess/forecast.
