Back when I was a child it seemed that Jasper, Jones, and Clarke counties were my old stomping ground. Lots of family in those areas. The homestead would be Enterprise in Clarke County, which almost got its ticket punched by an EF-4 tornado this past spring, so I get a bit antsy about severe wx in my old neck of the woods.

Ok I see Clarke county on radar, will watch that area for a little while too. Go ahead with your postings, just came on to help out for a little while. Doing great work Jamie, don't want to mess you up. :)

I like the layout, Dave. That reminds me...I've *got* to get a good radar program for my laptop. Looks like multiple tornadic signatures being reported in the Wayne/Clarke County (MS) and Washington/Choctaw County (AL) quadrant.

Running the loop on radar and that one cell is moving almost due north towards Crandall.

Indeed I do. It appears the Jasper County cell is on track for Bay Springs (IIRC, the county seat), and the Wayne County cell is on track for Matherville and rural Clarke County. So far, Enterprise is in the clear, but it'll be a long night in central Mississippi....just like it was along the coast last night.

I'm not familiar with this particular radar program...what's the name of it? Heh, I was a met major for 2 years before being seduced by literature and rhetoric. I even took synoptic meteorology. :double:

Anyhow, eastern Clarke is largely rural. Crandall is basically a small community of homes, not even a gas station within miles of the place. Still. peeps live in those rural areas.

I run a full updated version of GRLevel3 on this system, in fact, we use it for all county ema/ems services. I get my feeds from Tyler up at Allison House.

*Looks like a moderate rain cell over Crandall now but I don't see any circulation on or near it at all at this time.

I *think* they'll let the warning lapse on that one. I also think I might download that program and give it a go. I've been meaning to do it for a while now.

It's a good program, like it better than any I've tried and have used it since it came out years ago. For now, I've got to take off, still have a couple local things to take care of tonight then will go from there. I hope all's well down there and stay safe Jamie & all of you...want to see you'all back here tomorrow. :)

**Btw, the remants of Lee are supposed to pass over my area Wednesday morning but coming in as rain only...nothing like Ike hit us with. G'night!
