Any idea why the missions have been canceled?

Nah, it didn't get posted in here...I think it was posted in the Katia discussion (where I first saw it). Wish they had kept it though, to see what all Lee does this evening, since he is being hard headed.

And I understand about all that, all you really can do is just try to push forward. I broke up with my gf Thursday night, so have been enjoying time with friends playing call of duty and watching the tropics. Usually weather does a pretty good job of cheering me up and what not...and thankfully it looks like we might get some strong to severe storms tomorrow, so the weather won't be too boring!

Will keep ya in my prayers :D

KFDM, the NAM might be on to something. Looks as if the convection in western LA is seperating from the rest of the convection that is moving into MS,AL, and FL. No way it could have been right in splitting Lee and bringing a piece of his energy back in the gulf only to redevelop again, could it?

Livingston Parish - rain has dropped off dramatically in the last hour, breezy but no significant winds.

Looking at radar - once Lee gets picked up and starts to move NE, I'm wondering if the BR area will be getting what's trying to wrap around the south and west sides of the storm, what looks to be around Lake Charles right now.

It's life as usual in Lafayette. Lots of people out and about. I needed an ice cream run and the checker at the grocery store says they've been busy all day. I saw massive amounts of beer being purchased.

It rains here. Sidewalk dries up. It rains again. Sidewalk dries up. And the wind has been pretty calm.

Well, I'm located in Vermilion Parish south of Kaplan and I can attest to the fact that we are definitely getting darker here and the breezes have not stopped. The sky to the south is grayish black. Not sure if I am seeing the northern edge of the "eye" or not, but things seem to be changing.

We are trying. Sky getting really black to my south - I'm in Vermilion Parish just north of the center.

Another tornado warning for Baton Rouge. I believe this is the 7th so far for this area. Pretty crazy.

I just told the TV that if EAS wakes my twins up from their nap, then it can come put them back to sleep. =)

Where are you in Pensacola? You lost power from this, we have thunderstorms that have a lot more punch than this. Right now I have just got around to installing my weather station and I am recording wind from the SE at 10-15 will gusts up to around 20. I am going to go check out the beach and see how the winds and waves are, will be back with a report.

Soupbone, have any been confirmed or have they just been the potential to form by radar?

Pictures or it didn't happen! Glad y'all are getting some rain. Take it all, we don't need any up here in NY/VT, where Lee's remnants might go later in the week!

Long-time lurker. Just signed up. Was raining sideways here around noon. Just had a period of no rain but it looks like we should be getting more again soon.

Got my smoker going with a pork butt roast on enjoying the cool weather. Luckily I have a covered porch to do so.

What do you guys think the odds of Lee strengthening are at this point? Looks to still be fighting some dry air to the west still.

So far I see no confirmed touchdowns. I hope it stays that way. I've never seen so many warnings like this for one area.
