Well, if we're going to be miserable during this heat wave/drought from hell, we might as well do it right and set a new record.

Hooray! :grrr:

I've lost count where DFW is on the most days 100+. But there's a batch of thunderstorms in ETX migrating in this general direction. Will they make it, or will I only get to admire them from afar? Nothing more of tease nowadays than seeing towering cumulonimbus clouds in the distance.

I would be happy if the gust front from them passes through lol I think chances of that is better than actual rain! Lets do the rain dance! Poor Houston also, teasing southeast TX but will it hold together?

I'm in Richardson, but live in Rockwall. I can see the clouds building out towards the east. If I cross my fingers any harder, they will break.

Is that a squall line I see bearing down on Houston?

Must be a mirage. I think my eyes are playing tricks on me.

It is dirt in my backyard. I have given up. I mean come on, why? My front yard is gone. Just gone. The sign that the Four Horseman (great song by Metallica, by the way) are here. Our neighbor across the street has built in sprinklers. They water twice a day. The yard is turning brown. Goodbye Summer. We officially (well not Wxman 57, he is loving this) hate you.

We have built in sprinklers. Not using them. Neighbor put new lawn in the spring and spent $400 watering each month. Looked nice and green till she got her bill. Now she has a pretty St Augustine grass that is dried up.

I drove thru the outflow boundary. Car temp gauge dropped from 108 to 91 by the time I got home. Rain just east of us. Fingers crossed.

Yeah it missed us. But the silver lining is that it was only 86 for my youngest son's soccer practice at 6.

I hear snap, crackle, pop out there.

We are going to git it down here north of Houston!

I am going to go stand in the rain like I didn't know any better.

Had a nice shower this morning at the house. Also was awakened by some lightning and thunder in the distance. Where's the Pause button?
