Is 211 or 267 good enough west winds for you? Got it.

Usually when Invests are so strong, it is from extratropical storms with potential for a tropical transition.

Numerous very light west winds found. In my opinion good enough to upgrade to TS Irene.

Weak winds but giventhe models are forecasting strengthening of the system I think that may well be just about enough for the NHC to pull the trigger...they may just wait for one more pass through but that 267 is pretty close to a true west wind.

Aric they should be finding NW winds on the SW side. Looks like a closed circulation to me, albeit weak.

Per the images...it was a full rotation, they went from S to SSW to W to NW. Very weak (5 to 10 knots), but there nonetheless.

Actually doesn't look that well defined looking at that pass, sorta suggests maybe two small low level features present?
