Back in hotel editing some video. Strongest gust I've seen reported so far was 35m/s or around 70kts at Itokazu in SE Okinawa - I was just down there and it's quite gusty!

Can't wait to see your video! I'm sleepy and could take a crash nap right about now...but I'm anxious to see how JTWC's forecast might change. JMA seems to have brought the track closer. Looks like the storm is intensifying on satellite.

thanks for the link!! looks like your typical rainy day in Naha, normal traffic and doesn't seem too windy haha... :D

haha indeed it is!! can't wait for the videos!! also good news is that the peak winds will likely occur by early Friday morning so good timing for video capture, good luck and stay safe!!

hope you share those videos to the Weather Channel like you did last time, coverage for WPAC has been underwhelming from the channel so far... considering the number of american personnel stationed there, you would expect them to at least mention Okinawa and Muifa... :grr:

Thanks guys! It would appear Muifa has stalled more or less for last hour or so. This is also confirm by pressure at Naha airport which has only gone down 0.6hPa in last 3 hours!

My ears have been KILLING me...maybe that's why. I just had to clean off the memory card on my camera. Got some pretty good video - on a tripod, this time. I'm able to film inside my house by sticking the camera out the window. Might sound funny, but filming from safety! :D

Wow!! We don't get waves like that over where I am. Those are huge for this area! I've got video of the ocean on a normal summer day. Sometimes it's like glass, here.

Thanks for the Kadena link Jim! I bet you are to go hurricane chasing over the next few months.
