I dont see how Hollywood will have any impact on a war they arent even a part of. Let em whine all they want...we press onward.

No, I would not go on air and voice my opinion. Who cares about my opinion. President Bush runs this country and makes the decisions which he feels are best for us. He is the President of the United States----he rules!!!!

End of this discussion!!!

P.S. you may not have voted for Bush but he won the election. Majority rules. He is your president as much as mine right now and he's the boss!!!

Actually, the majority did not rule in the popular vote. It did in the Electoral votes.

It's never an end of the discussion for me. Besides, your opinion does matter - you voted right?

Not the end as long as people have things to say respectfully :-)

Stephanie, Gore did win the raw vote by a little over 500,000 votes but lost 30 states and the electoral college vote. Gore even failed to win his home state. The reason the Electoral College was established was to prevent the heavily dominated population cenetrs from having an undue advantage in a noational election. In this case it worked. Let's get the facts out there not just the ones we want to include  The reason

:?: Have I not been respectful?

Bfez1 had just said that he won the majority vote. I just stated that it was the popular vote he didn't win. :?: :?: :?:

I was commenting on the "End of Discusion" by Rainband...sorry if I wasn't clear. As an Admin I have been very pleased with people's spirited debate. After all, debate is what makes us think about our own positions.

Marshall - no problem!

You're correct, debates and discussions help to provide an ability to understand where other people are coming from and why!

I like debating. None have gone over the line. Although those between streetsoldier and wannabehippie always push the boards limits hehe ;)

Just got home and BTW, Marshall, I was only trying to avoid an arguement between two members and was asked to step in. If I over stepped my bounds MY SINCERE apology  Johnathan

No problem at all Rainband. I would rather the Mods exercise caution and keep things from getting out of control :D

We all see things differently, that's what makes these discussions interesting :-)

That is why I bring these issues to be discussed here because debating them with respect to other people and go to the point of discussion is the right thing to do.

I hope that nothing gets out of control here and the debate goes smoothly.

IMO, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the heat getting turned up every now and then :onfire: as long as we remember we're all family! I think everyone has been doing a good job keeping within civilized bounds. Sometimes we may all push the line a little bit.

If anyone feels that someone has crossed the line please contact an Admin or Moderstor. I promise you we will investigate and let you know what we think. We may not agree but we'll let you know. With the world situation being what it is, a lot of people are on edge and feelings run high. The nice thing is that we all have a place to vent, discuss and disagree! :D

POST ON!

:D I understand guys. You're just trying to keep things under control. I guess I was just alittle surprised because I know I've seen other heated exchanges on this board that were 100X worse than what I thought was no more than a discussion to was participating in. Thanks!
