the NHC thinks so much of it they wont even put a floater on it.....nice.... :D

if that MLC is not at the surface its pretty darn close IMO....its maintaining now that it ever has right over the COC...I would like to see more feederbands though...which I suspect will come about in the morning.

I don't put a lot of stock in NAM. However, I think 90L has a good chance at development. The question is will 90L be a tropical storm or hurricane. I think when 90L does develop, I think it will be a small storm.

Looking at the gfs forecasted upper level winds, 90L will have a very limited outflow if any on its NE quadrant due to the strong easterly shearing winds from the death ridge.

GFS has been horrible this year...never saw Bret or Cindy... horrible with showing no development into August.....right now its batting 0 for 3.... :D

Hasn't the trend been diminishing convection at night with this system? I must say that the sustained convective display tonight is impressive for a system which was almost left for dead and taken off life support less than 24 hours ago.
