looking at that loop...it looks like whatever was trying to get going at the surface is inland....JMO though...

0% in the next 48 hours sounds right as most of the models show some kind of development in about 120-144 hours though there's still a lot of uncertainty in the intensity, duration and location of the system.

Interesting the NHC mentioned it. Something will likely pop in the EPAC or ATL but we will see...this area will be sticking around for a while in any regard. Bad news for our friends in Central America.

Very nice anti-cyclone has now developed over this due in large part to this morning's hot-towers.
Towers have also left behind a good cirrus covering.

I think that this has a better chance to develop on the EPAC side as now a few models are showing that. Is the NOGAPS now the lone model which develops this on the Atlantic side?

Just now getting a look at it, this afternoon and i'm a bit surprised as to how fast it's wanting to come together. (I thought it was gonna take 3 or 4 days to look like this.) you can clearly see some Lower clouds moving in a southerly direction just north of Tela Honduras. But I guess this forecast to move father inland and just sit there awhile.

Very-cold / strong-overshooting cloud-tops have been consistently firing around the Nicaragua / Honduras border over water.

Pressure looks pretty steady to me. It hasn't varied much in the last 24 hrs. Lots of convection. Are we seeing a wave interacting with the monsoonal trough?

Yes you're right didn't check the 24 hour link. Still http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=42057 winds are up and pressure is somewhat down, still looks good on satellite.
Might go "Poof" tonight too.

It looks like 18z GFS goes with the EPAC as the stronger side to develop something in this monsoon battle.
