6 months ago today...

I have quit smoking for 6 Months, 31 minutes and 6 seconds (182 days).
I have saved $864.60 by not smoking 3,640 cigarettes.
I have saved 1 Week, 5 Days, 15 hours and 20 minutes of my life.
My Quit Date: 10/26/2010 10:00 AM

Boy but the urges are still there!

Next step...getting back into good physical condition. I'm 5 months out of my cancer treatment with very few side effects (have a checkup tomorrow). Treadmill is ordered and diet will start 5/2/11. Oh yeah baby!!!!!

The urges will go away. I know because mine did, but it takes a long time. One tip, and it is the most difficult to do, is to stay away from triggers like parties where there is drinking, situations that may have triggered a stress reaction previously, etc. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND PROUD OF YOU for what you have done!!! Keep it up!!! Praying for a completely clear report for you!! We're gonna have to call you BAD MAMA if this run of GOOD continues! :cheesy:

Treadmills rock Mama. They are the only way I can run with my hectic schedule. I get one hour a day to run 7-8, but my body (eventually) thanks me for it. Keep at it!!

That is SO AWESOME Kathy! When I see people smoking I still think it looks good. I have a lot of hard candy that I keep in my pocketbook, just in case. ;)

Awesome! Congrats. The S2K meeting in New Orleans was during one of my failed attempts at giving up the cigs. Thankfully I have since got it right and have been smoke free since Nov 30, 2009.

You're well past the hard part. Keep strong my friend!

Edit - Post #700, and it only took eight years! :lol:
