1969 Camille was the true cat 5 landfall... Originally Hurricane Andrew was pinned at Cat 4, but with this reanalysis, Andrew is now apparently a Cat 5.

Right!

Hurricane Andrew was reclassified as a Category 5 hurricane (one of only three to ever make landfall in the US) with winds estimated to be about 165 mph. The reason for the reclassification was a better mathematical model which estimates surface winds based on the data gathered by the Hurricane Hunters. This improved model spit out a wind speed higher than previously thought. Hurricane experts agreed and upgraded Andrew to a Category 5.

The correct answer is n.

Advection fog forms when warm air moves over cool water (or warm moist air moves over cool ground). Steam fog is formed when cold air moves over warm water.

The correct answer is Department of Commerce.

The weather bureau started out in 1890 under the Dept. of Agriculture and in 1940 was moved to Commerce. In 1970 the United States Weather Bureau changed its name to the National Weather Service.

Hmmmmm they all seem valid...I do believe. All of the above? I know there was massive flooding thru the whole area, but not sure specifically what rivers. If I had to guess it would be #4 though!

Storm of the Century Blizzard/ Mississippi River Flooding is the correct answer. I wanted to have you think on this question. I did my homework and found the 1993 weather stories and tried to see if you guys knew the biggest stories from that year. Rob you have dibbs on the next question.
