This 955 PM CST, Monday night, November 29th weather briefing update is for residents in Southeast Louisiana & Coastal Mississippi, and is applicable for tonight only and the pre-dawn hours of early Tuesday monring, November 30th:

9:45 PM, CST, Monday night, Nov. 29th UPDATE:

Things should start picking-up within the next 2 - 4 hours North of the Lake, especially for NorthWEST sections of the Northshore parishes, well away from the lake, from BTR to the Felicianas & St. Helena's parish -- that area, as higher UVV's overspread the area as we get closer to Midnight - 1 AM Tuesday morning. Both GFS & UKM show a swath of much stronger UVV's overspreading the northwestern Northshore parishes around Midnight, so that will have to be their play on getting in on the first of the severe weather.

For those of you down south where I'm at in the New Orleans area....it's going to be a MUCH longer wait, to where you won't be able to stay up for it -- it'll be THAT late tonight. That's why I labelled this thread Storm Event Coming Tues. Morning, because it'll be SO late in the night, it can be considered Tuesday morning for the New Orleans area.

Current VAD wind profiler network from Doppler NexRad, shows an even swath of South-Southwest winds of 35 to 40 kt belt of winds in the boundary layer, stretching upward to around 11K ft above ground level, AGL.

A low-level wind speed max jetlet is forecast to move over the Southshore parishes during the pre-dawn Tuesday morning hours 11/30, between 3 AM and 6 AM, so that will have to be our playbill ticket for severe South of the Lake.

The front will move in sooner, across New Orleans, with a wind shift forecast before sunrise, now, about 6 AM to 7 AM, with a West wind shift, followed by a Northwest wind shift by 8 AM Tuesday morning in the New Orleans area.
