No

No, the key word in those two obs is "thunder". There's a thunderstorm overhead that is influencing the local wind field. I think it's 24-36 hours away from a LLC.

Possible and a good point..but it's also possible that burst of convection has a LLC forming beneath it.. NO..is a word you don't use in forecasting weather..especially the tropics..as an expert you should know that

I think wxman57 is right. Although I can locate almost due southerly winds within the tropical wave ... I haven't found a lot of NE winds, let alone NW winds. Even worse, this huge arc cloud blowing out westward from the northwestern end of the convection.

Environmental conditions look quite good with outflow established over the system ... I still give it 36 hours ...

Actually, as a professional, I'm qualified to use the "no" word.

Look back at StormCrazyIowan's "for the Ladies and the Brave Men" thread in the Greeting forum for details on that one.

even a professional cant say No....because a professional really has no more say so in what happens than a total stranger to weather....lets see, I say only God can say NO...the rest of us can only say......Maybe, or possibly...or whatever, get my point?

After thinking about this logically..I see where your coming from being an expert, you digest all the information avaliable at the time and not the possiblities..just the most probable scenario. Not like those of us with limited knowledge who are basically guessing. Keep up the good work  Thanks for your expertise!!! :D

Of course I can say "no, there is no apparent circulation there". The original poster solicited my opinion, and no one knows my opinon better than I. And that opinion is no - no circulation. There is no disputing my opinion, only my conclusion based upon the evidence. Here are the obs. As thunderstorms moved west of the station, outflow produced a weserly wind at 5-7kts for a few hours, then the winds rotated back from the NE. Just a passing tstms, that's all.
