AVN and UKMET show potent storm in 4-5 days

Off the coast of Africa...

AVN: http://met.psu.edu/trop-cgi/avntc2.cgi? ... hour=120hr

UKMET: http://met.psu.edu/trop-cgi/ukmettc2.cg ... hour=120hr

Been showing this for the past several runs. True, a model calling for development several days ahead should not be taken as a 100%-guarentee. But with it being late August, and the fact that they're starting to look consistent, I'd keep an out in that area.

Also of note, as you can see in the AVN graphic above, it develops another wave near 50W (interestingly, so does the NOGAPS, except further north). And then there's the wave in the Windward Islands, which has the potential to develop in the coming days as it moves just south of the western Indies.

Some fun times ahead for sure if these models are correct.

Not necessarily. Those two models may not be showing much of the wave in the Windwards, but they're still picking up on an LLC. Development from that one is a distinct possibility, provided it doesn't interact much with land.
