Of course people are more interested in a storm that could hit them, their loved ones, or their friends, over one that recurves. That's just common sense. When people hear/see that something is brewing, they start coming here to get information. Only a very small majority of people are interested in tropical systems no matter where they go. Weather isn't a "hobby" for most people. I'm so glad we have this forum where people who fall into all categories of interest have a place to discuss, learn and be prepared.
