Closer to a storm?

I know it's just an anomaly but it certainly looks like there might be an eye. The Quikscat indicates a closed circulation too, doesnt it?

at that link, select Meteosat images in the left column and then select the portion of the grid you want to look at....

I see what you are referring to, alicia-w. Looks interesting, and I would not be surprised to see a depression or tropical storm by tomorrow.

The 12Z UKMET continues to hold onto this feature and brings it right to the islands before a jog to the North.Things may get interesting downt he road I suspect:):)

AND the UKMET shows another one coming off the coast after this first one turns north.

I might point out that the system that was to become Erika was initially progged to track north up the east U.S. coast. It wasn't until it was a few days away from Florida that the models changed their tune as the ridge built north of the system. The same thing is possible with these disturbances in the mid Atlantic. No telling where they'll go at this point. They could all cross southern Florida and head into the Gulf.

Or central Florida or northern GA..or the carolinas....way to early to say..I agree 100% :wink:
