Invest Numbering

#1 Postby tomboudreau » Mon Aug 18, 2003 10:52 am

How do they number the Invests? It seems like we have already had a 92L this season or could I be totally wrong? Do they only use the 90's for invests? So many questions...so little knowledge. I'm just hoping to keep learning more and more. Thanks for the help.

The invests in all the basins have their # in the 90's all the time. Now in the atlantic after 91L that was Erika now it will be 92L and as they put more invests in the comming weeks they will be in order 93L.94L,95L the L meaning atlantic.

For the EPAC they put the number and the letter E 94E,95E indicating east pacific and the same order.

For the central pacific they use the letter C =94-C,95-C.

For the west pacific they use the letter W=92W,93W

That makes sense, Chad. Prior to getting to your post, I figured they were started with "90L."

I remember there being "Invest 99L" before "Invest 90L" and "Invest 91L." Why was that?
