Possible Gaston
Anyone believe that the instability coming off of Africa following Fiona will be Gaston any time soon? Ideas, thoughts welcomed.

Re: Possible Gaston
Not sure. Some of the model runs showed a low popping up in the GOM on some of the Earl runs. Could this convective burst become a new system, much closer to home?

Re: Possible Gaston
The GOM has been hostile to development all season so far in 2010. It's been a tropical graveyard so far. That large wave/complex soon exiting Africa would seem to have a chance for either Gaston or Hermine (if 98L develops).

Speaking of graveyards, we're getting closer to the "I" storm. We had Ivan in 2004, so Igor has some tough shoes to follow.
