I imagine that the crew of that ship there are aware of Earl and will take another route to avoid the bad weather.

Absolutely not Knotimpaired. Weather is very hot and beautifull, no winds here.

same conditions here. absolutely no wind. It is eerily calm

Ok thanks Barbara. Same conditions here. I don't if this is calm before the storm but it's extremely hot without any wind!

Earl's LLC appears to be back under convection but shear from Danielle's outflow is quite evident as seen below:

seems like he's still heading almost due west after a bit of a northward wobble this morning

TWC just stated that Earl's continuing westward motion could affect the lower 48.

Microwave imagery shows good low level structure on 37GHz channel (below) but still shallow on 89GHz channel.

Perhaps due to Earl being weaker than the forecast called for at this point, the 24 hour forecast point is quite a bit off from the actual.

At 11am Friday, the forecast position for 11am today was 28/1200Z 16.3N 49.5W

The actual position at 11am today was 16.0N 51.8W

That is a 150 mile difference in the forecast point 24 hours ago (as of 11am advisory on friday) with the actual position at 11 am today.
