Thoughts on the STORM2K Store...

#1 Postby mf_dolphin » Wed Aug 13, 2003 10:35 am

With all the new additions to the family I wanted to point out that we have a store where you can get S2K merchandise. http://www.storm2k.org/Storm2kStore.htm We use the profits (and it's not much) to pay for the site. For those of you already familar with the store, we would like a little feedback on how we can make it better. We are looking at updating some of the logos and want some ideas on what everyone would like to see. Please give us some feedback and suggestions! :-)

Thanks

What does "Inaugural Member" mean? Is it for newbies?

I still can't get over that thong!!!!

If you're looking to add something else to that list - how's about a beach towel with the satellite of the hurricane? Maybe magnets?

You might also want to consider using "S2K" as another option for the logo.

The Inaugural Member is for the First Year members! Could be a collectors item many years from now LOL
Good ideas on products but unfortunately we're limited to the available merchandise. We can change the logos and graphics on any of it so teh S2K idea is a good one! Thanks for the feedback!

btw...the thong is pretty inexpensive ;-)

No comment on the thong!

We all refer to our little cyber-home as S2K - I think it's pretty catchy!

I agree with Dennis about the need for weather-related items.

Since we're mainly here for tropical weather (the Storm2K logo has a hurricane, by gosh), how about RAIN GEAR? A poncho, maybe umbrella?

I'd like to have at least a Storm2K cap and T-shirt emblazoned with a big, fat "MODERATOR" on it...and not Vbhoutex's avatar, please! :D

I agree that some S2K emblazoned items would be good and especially some cheaper weather related items.

I like the store and hope to buy something else from it in the future. :) If I think of anything, I will add it here, but so far I agree with the comments about trying to get an umbrella on there. There would be nothing more practical than an umbrella with a STORM2K logo on it. :D

I can head you in the right direction to get a rain gauge with our logo on it. Just let me know. Also...how about a couple of library items, like "A Field Guide To The Atmosphere."

These are both items you don't have to stock..like the others..you could simply place an order on our behalf.

Food for thought.

For us bigger guys...

#19 Postby meso_jr » Thu Aug 21, 2003 10:35 am

I really like the products you have, but I would really like to see the sweat shirts and hooded sweatshirts come in bigger size. I am a 2x, but I like my clothes to be baggy- so a 3x or even 4x would be really great. Baggy is more comfortable anyway. I'm in college, and it's all about style, baby!!!

Let me know what you think~!

I have to agree with the umbrella...YES!
Great idea! I've been thinking about it -
my black one is boring...unattractive...

I want one! :ggreen:
