Bay of Campeche?

Over the last few hours a flare up of convection rolled into the Bay of Campeche off of the Yucatan. More than likely it's nothing of course.....I just wanted to point it out.

I noticed the blobiness in the GOM too Johnny. Well, I know there's a low over Texas but not sure about anything suspicious in the GOM except for convection.;) Maybe one of our forecasters can respond.

The ULL over TX will continue to move westward and so with that area of convection in BOC ... Everything in the lower latitudes south of 30ºN will retrograde westward as the Bermuda High/Great Lakes High dome builds westward ...

How soon will this be happening Storms? Will this clear out the GOM and reduce the amount of moisture in the area here in SE texas?

Even though the ULL is pulling away, southerly/SE low-level flow around the ULL/ULH couplet could continue pumping moisture into SE Texas from the South for the next few days ...
