I disagree. This system looks to be getting better organized.

Now what is going on? Is this relocating more eastward? You can see here.

The dry air to the NW is impacting the overall convection envelope, but we finally have what appears to be a consistent area of convection that may become or already has become the LLC.

With vorticity weakening near Hispaniola and convection firing north of Puerto Rico, I'm sure it is relocating.

We dont need more as 2010 has been way above normal in the rainfall amounts (Over 23 inches) above normal. I have posted today at the Caribbean thread (Link at Signature below) over 25 flood warnings

I just don't see anything on radar or satellite that looks like it might develop in the next 24 hrs. It really looks like shear induced T-storms on the eastern edge of a tropical wave. But I'm just a long time gawker.

I agree seems to be relocating farther east.

if that is the case will that give the high enough time to build back in and keep this on a westerly track?

If you use this loop (IR shortwave), you can kindaof see where there is rotation around something near the eastern tip of hispaniola. That could be the old LLC deteriorating:

Perhaps we are seeing the beginings of a LLC developing....

I wonder if that complex now weakening over Hispaniola, probably caused by orographic lift from the northerly flow over the mountains today, is competing temporally for upward motion from the developing low to the east.

These kind of meso features are fascinating to me...in the idea that once that complex fades, the competition for upward motion fades too, giving the low a chance to come together?

Anyway...looks to be coming together tonight.
