Probably do have broad turning but clearly no closed low with this one at the moment. I still think it has time to develop but probably not going to amount to very much now it seems...Possibly 30-40kts system IMO heading into Texas, probably a big rain maker whether it upgrades or not.

Looks to me that it 96L may be getting its convective act together a little now.

Looks like this system will probably head inland into the Yucatan fairly soon...but it does seem to be gaining some decent convection right now on the eastern side and interestingly the MLC really is quite obvious right now, though I agree there doesn't appear to be any LLC right now...

The center is bursting. I could be wrong, but my eye tells me development.

Looks a lot better to me too but I'm thinking this system will mostly be a rainmaker for areas that do not need it(TX/LA) by the end of the week.

I'd say right now its back to about 80% of where it was this time last night before all the convection died off. I suspect this one probably will develop in the long run but not really strengthen that much, esp as the models aren't bullish at all really.

It has got a good MLC though with it, thats quite evident on the loops.

Based on that graph, a broad low pressure system seems to be present.

I think a new center may be trying to form around the Yucatan channel, a little south of there around the new burst

Those are pretty gusty southeast winds at the western tip of Cuba. No LLC at the moment, but the winds labeled 23, 34 and 40 seem consistent with (though not necessarily evidence of) the beginnings of a circulation trying to form to the east of Cozumel.

Not quite there yet from the looks of things but I do think the MLC is strengthening and we probably are seeing a sharpening of the surface circulation, but its going to have to keep this convection longer yet before it relaly has a chance of development.

Still that convective burst maybe the place to watch for possible development of any LLC.
