American English translation please.
My spanish is a bit rusty, but I think the gist is:
"Why is the wave placed south of Haiti when most of the convection is between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic? The map (radar/satellite, not sure which is being referred to here) clearly shows a large mass of clouds far from 93L. Is this the development of a separate system?"

edit - way too slow  beaten by not one, but two

Because if the tropical wave is located south of Haiti is the most activity of showers and thunderstorms between Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic?? the map is clearly a mass of clouds far away from 93L. or is that it is developing a separate system?

Thank you very much. I am fluent in English and French but this one threw me.

Im still unsure if this can get together. Of course the farther west it goes, the more likely it becomes. But I would have thought to see some more organization than what it is now.

That area of convection has a mid level circulation not at the surface.Where NHC is tracking a weak low is way SW of the MLC.The system in general looks disorganized at the moment and it will be a slow proccess for it to try and develop into a TD if it does at all.

Anyway, to answer the question, where a location is placed is not based on storminess, but rather based on atmospheric pressure. In this instance, the convection is displaced from the wave axis at the moment, but the important feature is not the convection, but the wave.

edit - beaten again, and not just in english, but in spanish as well, and with a better answer  Not a good night for me tonight

Now it looks like it did yesterday morning. Still a blobby mass of convection as it was before. I can not see MLC anymore...

You are excused, anyways 93L still has a long way to go if it ever want to be more then a wave.

Looks to me that a circulation of some type, likely mid level is just south of Haiti. There are a bunch of popcorn type convection fireing around it. Might be the usual night time blowup. I'd speculate that the disturbance is slowly getting better organized.....MGC

Aunque soy chino puedo hablar español también, porque mi carrera en la universidad es filología hispánica.

Glad to see something to discuss and finally the tropics are somehow activated and my colleagues in Cuba won't experience more hot sunny days, hope that the rain would lower the temperature of Havana. But I also worry about Haiti, I wonder if that country is ready for the coming active hurricane season.

If there's anything to it the eastern convection band will dissipate and the small center south of Haiti will burst.

I agree, It's looking less and less likely that much is going to come of this wave at all..............

More of the models pick it up though so i dont know. The key is slow development, and it is defiantly slow. :P
