No, it is on track as previously forecast. See JasonS post above. It does appeat to me that this is probably going to be a bigger(area) storm than previously thought.

:uarrow: No way to know for sure, still a long ways to go before it gets to you. One thing to note, the GFS had much more of a storm than the NAM, hm wonder which seems more credible now.

Notice the convection breaking out near El Paso? This may be a highly memorable storm for many Texans if current radar trends continue! :D

Sure looks that way right now although as we've all learned this winter, things are subject to change.

But on the Intellicast radar loops, precip showing up from the northern Texas Panhandle all the way down to the Rio Grande. Also appears that precip is getting heavier in a number of places and convection is taking place too.

Possible ? Yes... Probable? Not really.. Also 'a large portion' is relative.. But 6+ inches is not out of reach for local amounts

I don't think your eyes are going bad.

From the other thread, which I'm sure you've seen, even OUN NWS is starting to talk about the possibilities of snow getting north of the Red River.

Even the FW NWS is noting precip earlier than expected, makes you wonder if this is even a more powerful system than expected or will be of longer duration. Either way shouldn't that cause more acumulations than anticipated?

You guys are funny! LOL

No, I'm crashing early but will be up very early to see (hopefully) just how wrong my local NWSFO is with their forecast.

I'm counting on y'all to bring this storm into our state in a big way. Looks like your off to a good start!
