Keep getting bursts, moderate snow, then flurries, then repeat. Not sticking(and I'm doubting it will unless some extra moisture comes in after dark, storm is moving faster than progged) but pretty to look at.

Rub it in Brent, post some pics if you can. I'm getting liquid snow here this afternoon, lots of liquid snow like I get on a summer afternoon.

Hey, ya'll got the same kind of snow we had up here What's sad is this. For two mornings in a row we were down in the teens for lows, but the minute a cloud shows up in the sky, the temp jumps up above 40 and it rains
Now we're sitting at about 34 with a wind chill of 28....and it's about to start clearing up...go figure.

Tonight: Rain before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow between midnight and 3am, then a chance of snow after 3am. Low around 31. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Windy, with a north wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Nice little disturbance over the four corners area. It appears the moisture is thickening up a bit as it swings ESE. Combined with the moisture flow coming in over Mexico/South Texas, and nudging ever so slightly north, I wonder if there will be enough moisture to create a mixture of winter precip. late tomorrow and into Saturday, depending on where you live?Nonetheless, it doesn't appear there will be a lot of sunshine over the next couple of days. It could cause some areas to stay below freezing for many more hours then forecast.

Bob Breck New Orleans Meterologist seems to think so. he is concerned about the moisture streaming over Mexico. making it to our coastline and giving winter precipitation primarily on the southshore.

Yeah, very frustrating if you love the snow. It looks as if this will be a wasted cold weather event without any snow for south Ms. You folks in Seminary (my hometown) have had your share of snow the last 2 winters with at least 3 accumilating snows. Here in Lucedale we've missed out on each of those.

Phhhhffffft!!! We only got about 1/2" here. Schools are closed tomorrow due to icy spots
on side streets and rural roads, but I had no problem cruising home from work on the salted
highways. But, DANG!!! It's COOOLD!!

What a difference a few hours can make. Now we've gone from no accumulation to this: (wonder what they'll be saying tomorrow after we have 2 or 3 inches of snow on the ground?

Thursday: A chance of rain and sleet before 8am, then rain between 8am and 4pm, then a chance of snow after 4pm. High near 41. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north northwest. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. North northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

It snowed here all day....in liquid form nothing but rain. had a little sleet early this am but quickly changed to all rain. nothing on the ground but water.

Ain't that a shame and I had my cameras ready just in case I happened to have a Kodak moment. It's definitely cold down here tonight and also very windy. Try to stay warm now you hear.

edit:....temp still dropping currently 21F winds NW at 8 mph. Very dry 63% humidity....no frost.

got a quick half inch of snow last night right before the precip pulled out. then our forecasted low was 22, but we dropped all the way down to 15!! wind chill ranges from -5 to 5 above this morning. now we have a chance of snow on monday. AWESOME

Winter wonderland here as most of the snow that fell last night is still on the ground despite full sunshine. Roads have been a huge mess especially north of here with tons of wrecks. Only 21 degrees at 11am and forecast to hit 5 tonight.

Well, there is a UL disturbance over western/central Texas this morning and it has kicked off some light snow along the I-10. Precipitation looks to be moving west along with the disturbance. Lots of moisture in the SW flow....will a bit of snow mix out when the disturbance draws in some of that UL moisture? Doubt it but it is possible to see a few flakes along the NGOM coast......MGC

There are some weak reflections on the Slidell radar from Vermilion Bay to the Lake Pontchartrain area. Don't know if anything will reach the ground, but maybe somebody will see a flake or two.
