Just break out the side door he isnt sitting on and unlock/open it so you can get to the unlock button...then you arent trying to crawl over all this broken glass.

I'm thinking that she didn't want him to get hit by flying glass when she hit the window. The glass certainly would've went flying in his direction if she hit the passenger side front window as well.

TMZ is reporting that this may have been an attack by his wife due to an affair

http://www.tmz.com/#ixzz0YA1RBP7K

for the record, Tiger should be given the benefit of the doubt. A few years ago, there were similar rumors about Phil Mickelson (which appear to have been generated by Tiger fans) which were never proven as true. It wouldn't surprise me if this were the case (the fact that they have started in NYC, which is Mickelson country, leaves me VERY suspicious as to their credibility)

Yeah, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt too, but it's interesting that this happened just after these reports surfaced.

Yeah, let's give them both the benefit of doubt. After all is was only 2:25 AM, Tiger hit a hydrant and a tree and Elin smashed out two windows in the Caddy. :cheesy:

Statement from Tiger Woods

http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=4698237

WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Tiger Woods canceled another meeting with state troopers on Sunday, the third straight time he's done so. He posted a statement on his Web site that said the accident was his fault alone, but failed to address many of the lingering questions about the crash that sent him to a hospital.

The statement was posted about an hour before state troopers were to meet with the world's No. 1 golfer at his $2.4 million home inside the gates of Isleworth. A meeting was not rescheduled.

"This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me," Woods said. "I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again."

Woods said it was a private matter, and he wanted to keep it that way.

"Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible," he said.

Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor has said Woods' wife, Elin, used a golf club to smash out a rear window to help him get out of the SUV when she heard the crash from inside their home at 2:25 a.m. Friday.

"The only person responsible for the accident is me," Woods said. "My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false."

Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol said Woods' attorney, Mark Nejame, informed the patrol that Woods would not be meeting with troopers Sunday afternoon.

"It has not been rescheduled," Montes said.

Here's the whole statement:

Statement from Tiger Woods
By Tiger Woods

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.

Apparently money doesn't talk unless they want to. I appreciate wanting to keep it quiet and by law they don't even have to make a statement to the FHP, but he also chose to be a public figure and curiosity, etc. comes with that territory. Hope he caan stand by his statement that it won't happen again.

I'm human and I'm not perfect

This seems like a loaded statement if you ask me. If this were just an accident I don't see his need to say this at all. :D

WINDERMERE, Fla. - Tiger Woods has withdrawn from his own golf tournament after citing injuries from a car crash near his Florida home.

Woods said in a statement on his Web site Monday that injuries won’t allow him to play in the Chevron World Challenge. He said he would return to competition next year.

“I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week,” Woods said. “I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I’m very sorry that I can’t be there.”

I don't know why Tiger Woods is apologizing, this is nobody's business but his own and his family's. He should have told the media off.

"I think I'll use his favorite 60 degree wedge to knock this window out. No, maybe I should use his new driver, it's irreplaceable."

I think this is a domestic. Sad :(

Florida Highway Patrol=Woods to pay $164 fine,No criminal charges

Until he talks directly, people will still be asking questions about the circunstances of the accident.

http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=4704066

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol says it will issue Tiger Woods a careless driving citation for a car crash outside his Orlando-area mansion last week.

Maj. Cindy Williams said Tuesday that will close the investigation and no criminal charges are being pursued. Woods faces a $164 fine.

According to a patrol accident report, Woods crashed his SUV into a fire hydrant and a tree at 2:25 a.m. Friday. The airbags did not deploy and Woods' wife told Windermere police she used a golf club to smash the back windows to help him out.

Woods withdrew Monday from his own golf tournament, citing injuries from the crash.

The crash came two days after The National Enquirer published a story alleging that Woods had been seeing a New York nightclub hostess. The woman denies having an affair with Woods.

Just look at the crash pic's of the Caddy SUV.

I want to change my opinion. My satire was wrong.

As a former military firefighter.....this crash was a good impact. I'm sure Tiger is physically sore.

We should leave them alone and respect their request for privacy.

He received a citation, so he did pay for it. End of story, everybody can mind their own lives now and stop obsessing over a GOLFER's personal life.

Pay for what? The 164.00 ticket? I think he has it covered.

I think its fairly obvious the guy had a tiff with his wife and got peeved and left to blow off steam....He could have handled like alot of other dirt bags and beat the hell out of her. But he didn't. The solution is simple here leave the freaking guy alone. He has suffered enough embarrassment and pain with the end result here. The whole freaking thing is blown out of proportion...
