What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving?
I'm taking the day off tomorrow to help my grandparents cook and prepare for Thursday, then on Thanksgiving I'm driving 2 hours to the middle of nowhere for the get together. What are your plans?

Re: What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving?
Well, it was supposed to rain Thursday so I have a 12 pound bird sitting in the fridge, but now the hubby wants to go to the parade in Philly, sigh, so dinner will be on Sunday as it's supposed to be 58 degrees (too warm for Nov, last year we were freezing!)

Working from 2pm - 7pm! Mama and I are cooking a ham (our preference) with side dishes
tomorrow, and the rest of the clan will go to their in-law's and outlaw's to eat on Thursday.

No extra - I haven't been at this job 3 months yet to get the extra pay...

maybe they'll throw in a turkey sandwich or piece of pie?
And, brunota, I hope you all get a very special feast - you certainly deserve it!

Looking for the missing Wii remote.
Cleaning the house
Breaking up a fight between child 1 and 2
Throwing a football with the kids.
Breaking up a fight between child 2 and 3
Going for a bikeride with the whole family
Playing at a nearby playground
Breaking up a fight between child 1 and 3
Escaping to see a friend who is in town for the day. Drink, complain about the family. Listen to the perenial single tell me that his wishes he had my complaints. Be thankfull for my family
Get home just in time to leave for my brothers. We have Thanksgiving at his house. My mother makes the Turkey and Stuffing. My wife makes the desert and some sides. My sister-in-law makes a few salads, a squash caserols and sets the table. Setting the table is a big deal for her. She has a hard time with that..... she forgets stuff like glasses, salt and pepper, napkins... etc... It is always just one thing. She has improved a great deal over the years.
Break up a fight between kids 1,2 and 3.
Listen to my wife nag at me for eating too much and be thankful for my hearing loss.
Enjoy desert. Try to kiss my wife and tell her to be patient with sister-in-law.
Play with 3 year old nephew.
Go home and put kids to bed.
Watch 15 minutes of football before I fall asleep on the couch.
All in all, seems great to me.

Not much, going out to eat somewhere, may put up the Christmas tree(or at least do an inventory and see if I need anything before the Black Friday rush hits).

Best bet would be to find a church or restaurant serving the dinner. I had to do that when I went down on US Thanksgiving in 2001.
