Tragic. Condolences to anyone who lost loved ones. I wonder if this has anything do with the impending execution of John Allen Muhammad, the DC Sniper?

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense.
Col Terry Lee (RET) worked with the shooter and said about 6 months ago that Major Malik Nadal Hasan said, "Maybe the Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor." Also, comments about how we shouldn't be in the war and that he made it known he was "happy" about the AR Little Rock recruiter shootings.

After the shooting in Little Rock, he was upset about how the man was treated and apparently said that, "maybe we should have more of these where people should strap bombs on themselves and go into Times Square."

This is so tragic and unbelievable. Everything mentioned about this guy suggests that he was a walking time bomb.

The shooter is NOT dead according to reports tonight. Huh? How do you even confuse that?

I saw the press conference tonight and the General that talked said the suspect had two handguns, one of them semiautomatic and that explains why he fired so many shots. And yes,he said the suspect is still alive in stable condition.

What I am questioning is why they took more than 4 hours to say that he was alive.

Thanks lurkey for the info, but still it looks confusing the account about why it took so long to say he was alive.

Re: BREAKING: Massacre at Foot Hood, TX-many dead
So have they absolutely ruled out the other two suspects they said they were holding originally? I'm still not so sure this is psycopath flipping out as opposed to a planned terrorist act, even if it is by just one person. Raises tons of questions in my mind and makes me wonder how controlled all the information coming out of the base is. They could be trying to draw out others that may be involved in something(obviously I am speculating)bigger? Lots of stuff doesn't add up imo.

I believe they said that two questioned were trying to stop Hasan, rather than helping him...
Breaking news: all 12 dead were service members.

The SRC is very busy and, if you're in the right places, crowded. No one carries weapons unless they are MP's. So you let a madman go with two pistols, one of which is a semi, in a building filled with soldiers getting ready to deploy, who are also unarmed, and you could be the worst shooter in the world and walk away with that many kills.
My prayers out to the families...I couldnt even fathom someone walking in who just starts shooting people at will. Go ahead and strap him to the chair as he is right now, or perhaps hang him.
