Garrett, you know as well as I do that we have to lower our expectations if we're going to enjoy TV again. Nothing will ever compare to LOST...

With that said, I REALLY liked FlashForward and can't wait until next week!

TV ratings: 'Glee' rises, ABC levels off, CBS wins Wednesday
By Rick Porter
October 1, 2009 8:57 AM
Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009
Wednesday night's ratings were significantly cooler than during premiere week, with pretty much every new show and several returning ones falling from their premieres. ABC's "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" still posted solid demographic ratings, though, and CBS' crime dramas led the network to an overall win for the night.
One exception to the downward trend was "Glee," which actually built its audience over last week.
CBS led the night with 11.2 million viewers and a 7.2 rating/12 share in households. ABC (8.2 million, 5.2/9) finished second. NBC (7.1 million, 4.7/8) narrowly beat FOX (7 million, 4.2/7) for third, while The CW took up its usual spot at the back of the pack with 2.2 million viewers and a 1.5/2.
FOX and CBS each scored a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 to tie for the lead. ABC was not far behind with a 2.8. NBC drew a 2.1 to finish fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.0.
Wednesday night hour by hour:
8 p.m.
ABC: "Hank" series premiere (8.5 million viewers, 5.4/9 households)/"The Middle" series premiere (8.6 million, 5.4/9)
NBC: "Mercy" (7.3 million, 4.8/8)
CBS: "The New Adventures of Old Christine (7.2 million, 4.6/8)/"Gary Unmarried" (7.1 million, 4.5/7)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" (6.7 million, 4.0/7)
The CW: "America's Next Top Model" (3.3 million, 2.3/4)
18-49 leader: "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.7)
9 p.m.
CBS: "Criminal Minds" (13.6 million, 8.6/14)
ABC: "Modern Family" (9.9 million, 6.0/10)/"Cougar Town" (9.1 million, 5.7/9)
NBC: "Law & Order: SVU" (7.9 million, 5.3/8)
FOX: "Glee" (7.3 million, 4.4/7)
The CW: "Melrose Place" rerun (1.1 million, 0.8/1)
18-49 leader: "Modern Family" (3.7)
10 p.m.
CBS: "CSI: NY" (12.9 million, 8.4/15)
ABC: "Eastwick" (6.6 million, 4.4/8)
NBC: "The Jay Leno Show" (6 million, 4.1/7)

The 2nd episode of FlashForward was fairly good and kept my attention. The writing is still a bit shaky but not enough to ruin the show for me (others think it does ruin the show). I would rate it a 8/10 which is 0.5 higher then my last rating. It's looking like a winner. BTW, I have never watched a single episode of LOST.
The Office tonight was alright but it's not funny enough. The last two weeks have had story-driven episodes opposed to comical and laid-back eps. I don't like Jim where he is at all as co-manager which seems like a useless story arc IMO. The episode started getting much better during the middle section and near the ending. Kevin keeping on asking what the beans were for was funny

FOX grabbed first in the adults 18-49 demo with a 4.1 rating, beating out CBS (3.8) and ABC (3.6). Neither NBC, 1.8, nor The CW, 1.0, made much noise.
