>>Weather Station Survey

#1 Postby dafwx » Sat Aug 02, 2003 8:02 am

This is just for the purpose of gathering a collection of thoughts, opinions, etc. about the weather stations that we own.

- What brand/model station do you own?

- How long has it been operating?

- What do you feel about the accuracy of the station?

- How reliable has it been (any breakdowns/ faulty sensors?)

- Are you pleased by the features it has (like forecasting, trends, etc.)?

- Was the station worth the money (was the price a good value?)

8-) Thanks for checking it out!

My weather station is a Oregon Scentific WMR-968 wireless unit. I have had it in operation since November of 2002.

I am very please with the accuracy of the station, and have had no mechanical problems at all with it.

The software is really what makes the station impressive. I use Weather Display, which ran about $50, but does the same things as those which are much more expensive.

As always, how you site you weather station is going to play a great part in the accuracy.

I have had mine about 6 months. I find it to be pretty darn accurate. I have been very pleased with it. I found it on ebay brand new in the box for about 300.00, but it retails for 399.00 here is all the info & features
