Got to admit this is a gulf risk and possibly could be quite a big one depending on whether there is a front parked in the gulf at the time or not. Don't think its going to do that much till the gulf, but we shall see!

what makes you think that it wouldnt build back up considering the warm gulf waters?

After going through the mountains of both Cuba and Hispaniola, it would be very difficult for a storm to recover.


Not if it stays weak. Frederick did the same.

It depends on many factors... the strength and size of the storm when it crosses land, how long it's over land, the terrain it crosses, etc. I don't think there's a simple answer. Each situation is different.

Which islands are you talking about? If you mean Cuba and Hispaniola, then defiantly yes.
