if it hold on and can develop its surface identity better .. people in NC will be waking up to a potential sub topical system...

No sub-tropical system as of yet for us in NC. System will definetly enahance our already saturated atmosphere, and is forecast to move in the general direction of the NC coastal plain later today. The Gulf stream is relatively warm and could aid in some organization, but not expecting anything more than another rainmaker for us at this point.

Still a bit of cyclonic turning but very little convection near it. If it does not pick up some pretty soon then this will be history.

Winds are around 15 kts in the region. I can see some evidence of turning aloft now, but surface pressures are 1013-1015mb in the area of squalls. Development chances are low, maybe 1-2%.
