Glad to see you back at storm2k after the past weeks of trying to deal with the problem. The problem was that the admins, haved been banning many IPs and your got caught among those, but the important thing is that you are back just in time before the hurricane season starts.

When you want, you can go to the 2009 poll at the announcements section at the top of the Talking Tropics forum and participate. But do it before May 31 at midnight EDT when the poll closes.

We have been getting so many spammers trying to sign up that the admins were banning ranges of ips. Unfortunately for y'all your ip was caught up in it. We really have to thank our admins for all their hard work in keeping the spammers away. The admins sure go above and beyond. I know this moderator surely appreciates them.

OHHH nice to meet you again here my friend :). Absolutely HUC, you're right i appreciate your point of vue we should be on our guard at anytime this year. Of topic, I've noticied curiously given the symbolism of the year's numbers ending in 8 or 9 the last 30 years are not "pretty good" for us, it is just a my opinion with much subjectivity versatility but remember 1979, (David, Frederic) 1988 ( Gilbert) 1989, (HUGO) 1998; (Georges) 1999 (José, Lenny) Omar (2008) and (2009? WHO KNOWS the strong gusytwind  ?) near august the things will begin (biguine) seriously eyawall or not HUC  (TWAVE well organized and TD or canes...).
Whereas remember too in numbers ending in 8 ( the terrible cane of 1928 :( and another one in 1949 striking Basse-Terre, Ella in 1958 Edith in 1959...Strange ending year's numbers in 8 or 9 (given the symbolism), something to meditate...Thoughts are welcomed as usual.
Nice regards
Gustywind :)

HA! HA !HA!,my friend :roll
you can take any year or number if you prefer, and conclude to what you want:1964 ,Cleo,1966,Inez, 1825 ,Santa Anna, thats :1964+1966+1825=5755/3=1918;yes,and then you look at carefully and you can conclude : 19,and 18...you see now: 8 and 9,years to worry in Guadeloupe.
HA!HA!HA!
WAIT AND SEE ,TRYING TO UNDERSTAND , OBSERVATION ... HAVE A GOOD EASTER DAY Gusty;i know you like jokes, and that you like hurricanes even more;you give me a funny time with your "theory".. :sun:

The important question guys is if the Eastern Caribbean will have landfalling systems this year. There are many factors that will guide how active our area will be.Preparation for the worse but hoping for the best is the best thing we can do and lets track those systems that come from our east,or maybe another crazy one from the west (Lenny Type).

Absolutely Cycloneye that's it, tkanks for this pertinent reply. The beginning of the first twaves appearences is not so far and thus the season officially too, we should be on our guard this year. Whereas what do you tkink about about my theory in my last post: i'm not too mad? or too funny vote! :cheesy: :ggreen:
