WNCT is learning more about severe storms and possible tornadoes that are making their way across the east.
Pitt County Officials are trying to determine whether a tornado touched down on Firetower Road in Winterville between Charles Boulevard and Evans Street.
Our photojournalist Kenneth Roundtree is on the scene there. He tells us there are downed power lines and trees in and around the Ashcroft neighborhood and First South Bank near Corey Road. He sees roof damage to homes in that neighborhood, fences blown over and debris scattered throughout the area.
A tornado warning for the entire county has been lifted. Details Here
Nine on your side has crews on locations across the area.
We will bring you the latest tonight at 10 on the CW and after the games on WNCT.
