Justice is served. David C was the better choice IMO. He's just more mature and well rounded as a performer.

As one of the few great here and now songs, I think this was the best song to finish a season with. Again Congrats David Cook!!!!

I think Archuletta whispered 'its you' as it was being called to Cook.

I was at a baseball game tonight but anxiously awaiting to watch ai that i was recording. I was upset that the announcer at the game told the crowd who won. Good thing i knew cuz this thread title would have spoiled it for me. So...off to watch the show. And i'm glad david cook won.

So much for the ratings decline...

American Idol (Fox)
8:00 p.m. Viewers: 24.73 million, A18-49: 8.6/26
8:30 p.m. Viewers: 29.31 million, A18-49: 10.4/28
9:00 p.m. Viewers: 32.01 million, A18-49: 11.4/29
9:30 p.m. Viewers: 36.34 million, A18-49: 13.5/32

One year earlier, American Idol concluded with a very similar 30.73 million viewers and an 11.5/31 among adults 18-49.

A great majority of those votes came those under 18 and there isn't a limit on number of times you can vote . . . on AI

New judge in the lineup this season. Kara DioGuardi. I have no clue who she is!

Edit to add:

OMYGOSH at the girl who tried out in the bikini! Loved it when kara said something along the line of "next time don't wear anything".

I get a kick out of someone at the age 19 writing his "memoirs". I don't find him looking very good these days. I watched the video that fact posted the link too and well, yuck! Maybe he just forgot to wash his hair when this pic was taken and he was interviewed!
